Leicester Tigers rugby club kick off £100m revamp plans

Rugby club Leicester Tigers has sent in plans for a £100m mixed use scheme.

The project, on land surrounding its city stadium, include a 140-bedroom hotel which could be linked to the stadium.

An office development of 2,770m2, 150 student flats and a multi-storey car park are also planned.

Local planners are due to rule on the project by may 2009.

The project manager is the Frank Whittle Partnership.
