Planned demolition work on a bridge over the M4 near Swindon was abandoned over the weekend because of bad weather.
Driving rain and high winds forced the Highways Agency to call off demolition of the Spittleborough Access Overbridge between Junctions 16 and 17.
Main contractor InterRoute has now rescheduled the work for next weekend when the M4 will be closed overnight in the area.
A Highways Agency spokesman said: “The weather was awful and a combination of rain and high winds meant we took the decision to delay the job.”
