French company Altrad buys Belle Group

French manufacturer the Altrad Group has completed its acquisition of the Staffordshire-based Belle Group.

Belle manufactures compaction, concrete finishing and cutting equipment, cement mixers, mini dumpers, power packs and breakers.

Altrad specialise in the production of scaffolding, wheel barrows, equipment for local councils and cement mixers.

The management teams in the two Groups will remain in place and said the merger will give customers access to a broader range of products and increase the rate of product development.
