Applications are invited from experienced Contractors wishing to be considered for selection to tender for the following contracts:

Day to Day Responsive Repairs and Maintenance Service in Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Warwickshire, and Derbyshire

There will be four contracts for the execution of day to day responsive repairs to the housing stock managed by four rural Housing Associations, running from July 2009 – March 2013 as follows:

  1. Northamptonshire Rural Housing Association: contract value excluding VAT approximately £190,000 per annum, cover the day to day responsive repairs of approximately 500 homes.
  2. Leicestershire Rural Housing Association: contract value excluding VAT approximately £30,000 per annum, cover the day to day responsive repairs of approximately 100 homes.
  3. Warwickshire Rural Housing Association: contract value excluding VAT approximately £170,000 per annum, cover the day to day responsive repairs of approximately 500 homes.
  4. Peak District Rural Housing Association: contract value excluding VAT approximately £40,000 per annum, cover the day to day responsive repairs of approximately 200 homes.
  5. The number of dwellings and approximate contract values are given as a guide only and may subsequently vary.

The closing date for receipt of written applications is 25th February, 2009. Applications shall include the following information and details of your company:

  • Which contract(s) you wish to be considered for
  • Details of company turnover for last 3 years
  • Registration of Quality Assurance
  • Technical qualifications (membership of relevant trade bodies, etc)
  • References and details of at least three clients for which you have carried out contracts of a similar nature
  • Summary of Health and Safety policy

No undertaking is given that any Contractor will be invited to tender. Contractor’s suitability to be included will be assessed on financial and technical capacity and competence. A maximum of 8 tenders will be invited for each contract. Tenders will be evaluated on price and quality. Applications should be addressed to:

Midlands Rural Housing Association is responsible for the management of social housing throughout the Midlands area on behalf of Northamptonshire Rural Housing Association, Leicestershire Rural Housing Association, Warwickshire Rural Housing Association, and Peak District Rural Housing Association.
