JCB to cut another 100 jobs

JCB is set to shed almost 100 jobs at a factory in Uttoxeter.

The company has announced that it is looking to make 97 redundancies at the JCB Heavy Products factory, which has a workforce of 440 people.

The cuts, among production workers, are subject to a 30-day consultation period.

The news of the redundancies comes after the plant manufacturer shed around 1,000 jobs at its 11 UK factories in 2008.
