JCB Attachments launches low HAV breaker

JCB Attachments has launched a hand-held hydraulic breaker that it claims offers hand/arm vibration levels that are 50% better than other breakers on the market.

The HM25LV has the power cell from the larger HM29, but in an HM25 body. JCB says the tool can be used all day without the risk of exceeding recommended HAV levels.

This has been achieved through the use of a new handle, which instead of sitting on springs or rubber blocks, in effect floats on hydraulic pressure. The handle is also mounted 50mm lower than on the standard HM25 and incorporates increased protection.

The low vibration model will be sold alongside JCB's existing breaker range, carrying a 25% premium.

The British manufacturer is also extending its compact equipment portfolio with the VFS450 floor saw and a range of JCB diamond saw blades. The VFS450 will be available for sale in June of this year.
