Four firms are targeting a £100m hotel revamp deal in central London.
The makeover of the Metropole Building and 10 Whitehall Place has attracted Laing O’Rourke, John Sisk, Ardmore and the Byrne Group.
The successful bidder will refurbish around 37,000m2 of accommodation to provide a 283-bedroom, five-star hotel, plus a suite of luxury apartments.
The client is Malta-based International Hotel Investments, which is due to name its preferred bidder in April.
It is expected that the new complex, to be called the Corinthia Hotel, will be completed within two years.
