Scunthorpe-based Clugston Construction has won a three-year extension to its Highways Alliance contract with North Lincolnshire Council, worth in excess of £10m.
The deal, originally awarded in 2003, will see Clugston deliver a range of highways and public infrastructure works until the next option to extend the partnership comes in 2012.
The council decided to hand the current extension to Clugston for its efforts in developing the local supply chain, fostering skills through an apprenticeship scheme with North Lindsey College, and embracing the ethos of partnership working.
Rod Fry, construction director at Clugston Construction commented: "This is clearly excellent news and is the result of the very impressive performance of all members of our team, both in terms of the execution of the work and the teamworking with our client."
