Contractors are competing to get onto two key frameworks worth a total of around £120m on the £16bn London Crossrail scheme.
The enabling works framework deals relate to civils and demolition tasks on the massive undertaking.
The civils package is worth at least £100m, with the demolition works weighing in at around £20m.
CJ understands that at least 10 firms are vying for the civils work, with 13 rivals tussling for the demolition jobs.
The civils framework is expected to run for four years, with packages of work worth between £500,000 and £5m up for grabs via a mini-tender process.
The works will be divided into five categories including general civils work, structures, gas and electricity.
It is expected that six contractors will be appointed onto the five-year demolition framework, with the work expected to centre on offices, structures and homes on the sites of planned Crossrail stations.
It is expected that the enabling works will kick off on site in April.
