Bowmer & Kirkland wins phase 4 of £28m Blackburn College

Bowmer & Kirkland has taken phase four of the Blackburn College redevelopment, valued at between £22m and £28m.

The Learning and Skills Council has yet to stump-up funds for the project. But it is due to review the scheme this month and it is expected that construction work will start this summer.

Phase 4, due for completion within 18 months, involves around 14,000m² of new build, plus an eight-court sports hall and performing arts facility.
