Transcend - a joint venture between Aecom, CH2M Hill and Nichols Group - has been chosen as the £100m Programme Partner for the Crossrail project.
The contract will be confirmed following a ten-day period in line with European procurement requirements.
The Programme Partner role is one of strategic programme management. Transcend will help Crossrail to deliver safely the overall programme to time, to the desired standard and within budget.
Douglas Oakervee, Executive Chairman of Crossrail said: "This is another landmark moment for Crossrail. I am delighted to announce the award of this contract after such a competitive procurement process. The quality, expertise and enthusiasm of all the bidders has been exceptional. With the appointment of Transcend, the Crossrail project team will be joined by world class expertise to oversee the project management of this new railway."
The Project Delivery Partner - a contract worth £400m to oversee main construction work - will be announced "in due course".
