O'Rourke joins chase for £90m Commonwealth velodrome

Laing O'Rourke has now joined the fray for a £90m job to build a Velodrome and sports arena complex for the 2014 Commonwealth Games to be held in Glasgow.
Others in the race are BAM Construction, Sir Robert McAlpine and Bovis Lend Lease, as reported in CJ last month.
One contractor said: "These are all heavyweight contenders with plenty of experience in building projects like this - so a fierce bidding war is on the cards."
