Costain has won a £200 million deal to look after motorway and trunk roads in Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.
The firm, in a joint venture between consultant Halcrow and Colas, owned by French giant Bouygues, will carry out work on more than 1,100 km of road along with 1,330 structures such as bridges and gantries.
The five year deal from the Highways Agency will begin in October.
