ODA latest update on Olympic Village construction - PHOTOS

Olympic Village construction is well under way with infrastructure works complete on a concrete tunnel to cover half a mile of railway line. The tunnel will give access across the Village site from north to south.

The Olympic Delivery Authority has also installed webcams across the site together with develop partner Lend Lease, to show progress on the Olympic Park in real time. 

The Village webcams and latest images released by the ODA and Lend Lease today also show:

• Construction work underway on the third floor levels of the first residential block
• Structural work now underway on the ground-floor levels of two further residential blocks
• Piling works complete to form foundations on 28 buildings (four residential blocks) – over 2400 concrete piles installed more than 20 metres deep
• Six tower cranes erected on site – 22 cranes in total will be in place by the summer
