Fluid sampling on Greyhound fleet to improve productivity - VIDEO

Oswestry based plant hire specialist, Greyhound Plant Services, employs Finning's Fluid Sampling service team in a bid to improve the productivity and performance of its 450 strong plant hire fleet.

Greyhound has spent the last 12 years working with Finning to develop an integrated preventative maintenance programme. In 2006, it became one of the first UK plant hirers to opt for Finning’s email reporting service.

Instead of receiving information on fluid sampling by post, all information gathered from the analysis of each sample is emailed straight to Greyhound and simultaneously made available on the web.

Commenting on its use of the service, Greyhound service and product support manager, Keith Richards said: “ Fluid sampling is central to our preventative maintenance programme and thanks to the detail of the information we receive from Finning, we have been able to react quickly in the past to prevent plant failure, in-turn saving the business tens of thousands of pounds in vehicle downtime and serious parts failure."
