Pochin names ex-Amec director David Moss as chief exec

Pochin has announced that former Amec director John Moss is to join as its new group chief executive from 1 June this year.

Moss, who has previously worked at Amec for 14 years, replaces David Shaw, who is to retire on 31 May.

A company statement said that Moss has already assisted Pochin on a number of projects over the past 12 months.

It added that the group's cash flow for the year to date has been "positive" and reported emphasis on cash management continues to have "beneficial effects".

It said that the firm's construction division forward order book remains "reasonably healthy".

Meanwhile the concrete pumping division is still being affected by a further deterioration in its market, particularly in the North and Midlands, it said.
