Rok joins list of names invited to look at William Verry's contracts

Rok has joined the group of four contractors who have been invited to look at some of William Verry’s contracts – the other three being ISG, Kier and a regional outfit.

A source stressed, however, that Verry is not currently in administration.

ISG and Rok both declined to comment on the situation while Kier said it would issue a statement shortly.

Garvis Snook, chief executive of Rok, said: “Inevitably in a recession there will be company failures and there will be customers needing projects to be completed.

“This will throw up opportunities for the likes of us and we will look at opportunities.”

The only word from Verry was: “No-one is talking to the press. There is no comment to make at the moment.”
