McLaren buys Verry contracts

McLaren Construction has bought a number of contracts and assets from Verry Construction after the company went into administration this morning.

A company spokesman said: "Following the announcement that William Verry Ltd has gone into administration, we would confirm that McLaren Construction Ltd has reached agreement with the administrators for the sale and purchase of certain of the company’s assets and, subject to the agreement of the respective employers, the novation of selected contracts.

"McLaren Construction is delighted to have the opportunity to continue and complete these prestigious contracts, this being fully in line with the planned strategic growth of the business”

McLaren fought-off competition from Kier, ISG and Rok to takeover the business.
