Peterborough: Waste incinerators

- Peterborough City Council is advertising for contractors working alone or in collaboration on various waste management services, including construction, over a 33 year period. The work is split into three lots which includes the design and construction of an energy from waste facility, a materials recycling facility and waste management services.

Harrow: Education construction
- Value: £50-150m
- Harrow Council is looking for one contractor for a four year framework deal which includes a variety of construction works. The amount of work and its value will depend on future funding so the possible range - from £50m to £150m - is wide. The work will cover refurbishment, modernisation, new build and repair to education, corporate, social services and leisure buildings.

Liverpool: Highways work
- Value: £15-25m
- Liverpool City Council plans to regenerate its Edge Lane West area. The work will include a combination of new highway and environmental improvements, alongside demolition work of approximately 125 properties. A major part of the work will be diversion of utilities, which will be undertaken before the construction of the new highway and associated pedestrian facilities, lighting and soft landscaping.

Stanstead: Airport buildings

- BAA is advertising for contractors to perform around 30 small and large construction projects at Stanstead Airport. It anticipates either two or three agreements will be awarded for the work, which does not exceed £5m in individual project value.

Portsmouth: Ferry terminal and associated infrastructure
- Value: £12.5m
- Portsmouth City Council is seeking a contractor to build a new ferry terminal building, set-down area, access roads and associated infrastructure at Continental Ferry Port. The work includes excavation and recycling of the existing slab and demolition of the existing building followed by construction of a new terminal building, access roads and drop-off area.
