Cripsin & Borst wins sports centre deal

By Will Mann

Crispin & Borst has been awarded a £4.4m contract by Medway Council to construct a three-storey extension at the new Medway Park regional centre of sporting excellence in Gillingham, Kent.

The extension will include changing rooms and two floors of health and fitness suites, and a new international standard multi-purpose sports hall with an emphasis on badminton (12 courts) and disabled participants.

A purpose built link building will provide access between all areas of the new and existing facilities.

Medway Council intends to use the premises as a training facility for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
