Toddler buys £8,000 excavator

A three-year-old girl in New Zealand has accidentally bought an £8,000 excavator in an online auction.

Pipi Quinlan's shocked parents realised there was a problem when they received an email invoice for the sum from the seller.

Pipi's mother had left her computer logged on while she slept, and the toddler took the opportunity to practise her online skills, according to the BBC.

The three-year-old had only been introduced to using the computer a week before.

The excavator's seller is not insisting on the sale.
