Kier signs up to Builder's Profile

Kier has become the first main contractor to sign up to the Builder’s Profile.

The Builder's Profile is an online service which bids to reduce duplication amongst existing pre-qualification systems by allowing companies to submit the same pre-qualification information to different contractors and clients.

The National Specialist Contractors Council (NSCC), one of the backers of the scheme, said that the scheme would enable Kier's different regional divisions to accept pre-qualification information from any sub-contractor using the service whatever area of the country they are working in – instead of sending paper questionnaires.

A Kier spokesman said: “Here at Kier we are committed to working in partnership with our supply chain and can see that, by accepting the information we require for our pre-qualification procedure from the Builder’s Profile, we will become more efficient by creating a more streamlined process for our sub-contractors and for Kier.”
