Cesar registrations pass 22,000 as retrofitting price drops

By Colin Sowman

The price of retrospectively registering plant with the Cesar scheme has dropped to less than £100 as the number of registered items passed 22,000.

Pirtek, the approved aftermarket agent for the Cesar scheme, has dropped the price of retrospective registration of machines to £99 (+VAT) until the end of July. Stolen Cesar-registered machines are five time more likely to be recovered than unregistered plant.

A Bomag tandem vibrating roller was the 22,000th machine to be registered since the Cesar scheme was launched in February 2007. Bomag is one of a number of manufacturers that registers all its new machines with Cesar.
