Four confirmed for £1bn Hertfordshire BSF

Four names have been confirmed on the £1bn Hertfordshire Building Schools for the Future programme.

They are: Balfour Beatty; Catalyst Lend Lease; Pinnacle Schools (Sir Robert McAlpine); Vinci Education.

The four bidders will now respond to Hertfordshire Country Council's Invitation to Participate in Dialogue by 20 July, with a shortlist of three being announced in early August after the dialogue process.

The appointment of a preferred bidder is scheduled for the summer of 2010, with work planned to begin on the first schools in early 2011.
