Olympic Village for MPs' second homes?

By Will Mann

MPs who live outside London should be given permanent homes in the Olympic Village once the 2012 Games are over, a report has suggested.

The Taxpayers’ Alliance claims the move would save £11.5m-a-year in MPs' second homes allowance.

The organisation said the scheme would pay for itself in 10 years and could even provide taxpayers with a profit.
