Crossrail has made David Bennett, currently deputy Crossrail project representative, its new implementation director.
Bennett will start his new role on 20 July 2009.
The Crossrail Implementation Director will work closely with the Project Delivery Partner to ensure the major construction element of the Crossrail programme is delivered on time and to budget.
Rob Holden, Crossrail chief executive said: “I am delighted to announce the appointment of David Bennett as Crossrail's Implementation Director. He brings a wealth of experience to the project, not least from his current role with the Crossrail Project Representative which provides oversight to DfT and TfL as project sponsors. David will play a key role in delivering Europe’s largest construction project and I look forward to him joining the team in July.”
David Bennett said: “I am excited to be taking up the newly created role of Crossrail Implementation Director. I am very much looking forward to continuing to work closely with the Project Delivery Partner team in delivering this vitally important project which will bring enormous transport and economic benefits across London, the South East and to the wider UK.”
