Data centre builder and fit-out firm Mountfield Group has made a pre-tax profit £1.36m in its maiden set of results as a public company.
Mountfield joined the London market AIM in November 2008. In its preliminary results for the year ended 31 December 2008, the company revealed that it made a turnover of £17.44m.
It also claimed to have a "strong" cash position of £2m.
Commenting on the results, Mountfield chief executive Graham Read said: "2008 was an exciting year, with the formation and flotation of the group which combines three excellent businesses centred around the opportunities within the construction and data centre markets.
"Whilst trading remained challenging during the year, the structure of the group, the cross selling opportunities that it presents and the outlook for current trading, combined with current tendering activity means that we look to the future with confidence.”
Mountfield's thre divisions are: Mountfield Building Group, Connaught Access Flooring and Mountfield Land.
