Sandvik has completed the rebranding of Extec and Fintec products and introduced a new mobile scalping screen and breaker.
Not only do the former Extec and Fintec products now carry Sandvik's name and colours, but the production and aftermarket organisation have also been reorganised.
The new QE440 mobile scalping screen processes material at up to 600t/hr into three product sizes and is a bigger brother to the QE340. To accommodate the extra throughput, the 440 has 40% more screen area, along with wider stockpiling conveyors and it folds down to 3.1m wide by 3.4m high for transport.
On the breaker front, Sandvik has added the BR2577, which is suited to 21t to 30t carriers and delivers between 450bpm and 750bpm with a 135mm tool. The unit has a reversible power module to accommodate reversed 'Japanese' piping, a slim but heavy-duty casing and Sandvik's fixed blow energy system.
It requires a flow of 140lit/min-200lit/min, with an optional overflow valve to protect against incorrect carrier setting. Other items such as idle blow protection and soft blow sensor (which reduces the impact energy as material softens) can be retrofitted, as can one of three auto-lube systems, casing reinforcement and bronze bushing.
