VolkerHighways has scooped up £100m of new term maintenance contracts in the past two months.

The company said that the new highway maintenance and lighting contracts had options to extend, which could increase the final value to around £160m.

The contracts awards were:

  • Two four-year highway maintenance and street lighting contracts for Haringey Council, with a probable spend of £10m per year. Each has the potential to extend a further four years to 2017.
  • A four-year highway maintenance contract for Camden Council, which can be extended to 2016, worth £5m a year.
  • A two-year extension to an existing £15m-a-year highways contract for Enfield Council.
  • A one-year extension to an existing £3m-a-year civil engineering contract for Transport for London.
