Costain wins United Utilities AMP4 extension to 2015

Costain in joint venture with Galliford Try and Atkins has extended its current 5-year AMP4 framework contract with United Utilities to 31 March 2015.

The total value of the framework contract to the GCA joint venture is worth approximately £400 million, and the value to Costain around £180 million.

The original contract commenced in 2005 with responsibility for implementing United Utilities non infrastructure capital delivery works programme in its southern area.

The majority of projects are likely to be improvements to both clean and waste water processing plants.
