Workers and contractors across the Olympic Park have been recognised for their health, safety and environment achievements.
The Olympic Delivery awards - judged by an independent adjudication panel coordinated by the British Safety Council - recognised the performance and contribution of five teams and four individuals working on London 2012 projects.
John Armitt, Olympic Delivery Authority Chairman said: "Health and safety has to be at the heart of a project of this size, scale and complexity. A huge amount of progress has been achieved in the last year and thanks to the people that these awards recognise, we have done that with safety being the number one priority.
"But we are not complacent. The Olympic Park is one of the busiest construction sites in the UK and will continue to grow as the workforce increases to its peak in 2010. It is essential that we continue our efforts to make the Olympic Park the healthiest, safest and greenest site in the country."
