Continental to market Simex earthmoving tyres

Continental Tyre Group is to market the Simex range of materials handling and earthmoving tyres to the UK and Irish aftermarket and has opened a warehouse in the Czech Republic to stock the Malaysian-built tyres.

Simex's cross-ply tyres fit rims from 24-inch to 35-inch and according to Continental's industrial tyres sales manager Leon McMahon, are very durable at a good price point, but: "They won't be the cheapest on the market."

He said Simex tyres will get the full support of Continental's UK operation and plans to work with existing distributors such as ATS and OTR as well as looking for other opportunities.
