Mott highlights 'logic errors' in Brookfield's £253m Wembley claim

Mott MacDonald has highlighted 'logic errors' in its defence to Multiplex's £253m claim against it over problems on Wembley stadium, which finished two years late and £300m over budget.

In a defence filed this week at the High Court, the engineering listed its objections to Multiplex's claim, over alleged design failings on the delayed stadium.

Brookfield, which bought Multiplex, filed a £253m writ against Mott last year, claiming the engineer failed to warn it of design changes and providing 'late and inadequate' information.

Mott, however, blames Brookfield. It called for proof that its designs caused the delays and launched a counter-claim for £230,000 in upaid fees.
