Clonfin Plant Hire boss Adrian Hosey has had his new JCB 8055 midi excavator emblazoned with the words ‘British built for British jobs’ to show solidarity with recession-hit British industry. And the machine (supplied by Gunn JCB) is getting plenty of eyeballs as it is working on the £35m Lime Street Station Gateway Project which involves creating an improved frontage and public plaza.
Hosey said: “British industry is undergoing a tough time at the moment and I just wanted to put my money where my mouth is and show my support for a British company like JCB. This is the first machine on which we’ve put the ‘British built for British jobs’ message… any machines we buy from JCB in the future will get the same treatment.”
Hosey founded Clonfin almost a decade ago in Bootle and runs a fleet of 23 machines, employs around 20 people and specialises in civil engineering contracting and in operated and self-drive plant hire.
