London-based contractor Killyby & Gayford has boosted its pre-tax profit 24% to £3.6m in 2008.
Profit margins were also up from 3.9% in 2007 to 4.12% in 2008.
The company's turnover also lifted to £86.9m - a 14% increase on the previous year.
The year saw Killby & Gayford, which works mainly in the specialist heritage sector, work on the £1.3m Royal Academy of Music in London and the £1.25m Bedford magistrates’ court.
The company also opened offices in Cambridge, the City of London and Leeds.
Chief executive Chris Chivers said: “2008 was a successful year, the results achieved are a reflection of the emphasis that the company places on repeat business from long standing clients. Also, positive cash flows enabled us to repay £2m of bank loans ahead of schedule.”
