Caterpillar has added four towed-scrapers to its range and announced improvements to its D6 dozer.
The 14.5m³ capacity TS180 and TS220 scrapers have two rear wheels, while the bigger (18m³) TS185 and TS225 have a heavy-duty, four-wheel design for durable productivity in construction applications. These towed scrapers use a durable centre-lift bowl design (with high-strength, abrasion-resistant steel) and dry-disc brakes, while the bigger models feature an adjustable cutting-edge angle and walking-beam suspension.
Cat has also given its D6N dozer an upgrade with electro-hydraulic controls, a refined operator cab (new instrument panel, automatic temperature-control and improved airflow) and an electrical fuel-priming pump with an integral fuel/water separator - much of which lowers operating costs.
