Denne Construction has restarted work on two new schools worth £27m in Kent which were put on hold following the collapse of William Verry.

Kent Local Education Partnership awarded the Charles Dickens School and King Ethelbert School in Thanet to the Leadbitter Group who will manage the project through its Kent-based subsidiary, Denne Construction.

Nick Brown, Denne Construction Director, said: "Denne has been successfully delivering education sector schemes for many years, ranging from extension and refurbishment works to new build school projects. We are very much looking forward to being part of Kent's ambitious Building Schools for the Future Programme."

The original contract, worth in the region of £27m, will provide work for more than 100 employees, the majority of which will be Kent-based.
