The National Construction College has honoured five plant apprentices at its annual awards. On the plant operating side, Andy Price of Cornbrook Homes was the top Earthmoving Apprentice, with Anthony Howard (HTC Plant) and Darren Page (David Humphrey & Son) taking the honours for Crane and Demolition Operatives respectively.

Among the mechanical apprentices, the top award for Plant Mechanics (Access Platforms) went to Andrew Bracegirdle of AFI Uplift, while the top award for General Plant Mechanic went to Soilmec's Thomas Nelson.

They were among the 16 construction apprentices given special honours, while more than 300 received their framework achievement for finishing their apprenticeships.
