Software upgrade enables on-line hiring

Hire management software specialist MCS has upgraded its customer web portal application, allowing hire companies using its system to create and manage their own secure extranet site.

The password-protected system allows end-users such as contractors 24/7 access to raise on-hire and off-hire requests, obtain quotes, place rental orders and to resolve queries.

For the contractor or end-user, MCS said the portal provides secure, anytime access to all hire and contract information, including invoice history, quotations and product information, as well as health and safety information. Benefits for the hire company are said to be increased sales to existing customers and attracting new ones, improved customer service, increase efficiency and productivity and reduce administrative costs.
