Wire Hanger wins Hilti innovation award

Hilti's new X-HS-W Wire Hanger has won an innovation award from the Construction Products Association.

The hanger comprises a wire support and a direct fastening that can be installed from floor level without any need to drill into the base material and is said to be a safer alternative to traditional drill, fix and threaded rod installations. Not only does it reducing metal cutting and risks involved when working at height, but it is also said to be three times faster to install, to use up to 93% less steel, and can be used to support ventilation ducts, electrical baskets, lighting and other electrical services.
