Garic says its construction companies can both save money and reduce their carbon emissions (as the government is demanding) by using its 12V Eco Combi Cabin welfare unit.
The unit is powered by roof-mounted solar panels and has an energy management system, which halves running costs and reduces emissions by 60%. Garic said the hire costs and reliability are the same as its standard 240v genset-powered unit. Noise emissions are also dramatically reduced (by 80%) and the unit is said to be highly efficient with water, making it particularly suitable for use in remote areas.
Garic's hire and sales desk manager Steve Booth said: "We believe in giving our customers choice and many of them are now looking for environmentally friendly alternatives. With climate control high on the agenda, demand for the Eco Combi welfare unit is set to increase."
