Aichi's new SP/SR14CJ and SP/SR12C 'Global Series' booms come in wheeled (SP) and tracked (SR) versions and can carry loads up to 250kg.
The 13.6m working height SP/SR14CJ model has a three-stage boom. The two lower sections are telescopic and the upper section is an articulated 1.75m fly boom, which can be elevated from -70º to +60º.
Importer Ranger Equipment said at 12.7m the unit has the longest horizontal outreach in its class, while having a transport height of 2.44m, a length of 7.55m and weighing just over 8.5t.
Its smaller sister, the SP/SR12C, doesn't have the fly boom, but still provides an 11.7m working height with 10.9m of outreach. Its stowed height is 1.73m and the transport length is just over 7m, while its all-up weight tops 7.6t.
