Mouchel takes £25m professional services deal

Mouchel has secured preferred bidder status for a £25m deal with Lincolnshire County Council to provide highways professional services throughout the county.

The contract, which will start in April 2010, and thought to be worth around £5m a year for five years, could be extended to 10 years if performance targets are met.

Mouchel will work with May Gurney, which has already confirmed that it will take over a £350m highways term maintenance deal for the county, in place of incumbent Ringway.

Meanwhile Peek has retained the contract for traffic signals.

Mouchel business unit director Brian Duff said: “Given our company focus on great relationships and the professional and open culture that clearly exists within Lincolnshire, I am very optimistic that together with our partners in this four-way alliance we can set new standards for best practice.”

“We fully expect not only to provide an improved service, but also make significant money-saving efficiencies in their delivery.”
