Contractors using Kone's JumpLift can cut construction time for tall buildings by up to 20%, according to the manufacturer.
The JumpLift is a temporary goods and people lift that works within the lift shaft and cuts construction time because it can be used in all weathers, is faster than most external hoists and allows the external façade to be finished and sealed earlier.
JumpLift uses the shell of the final permanent lift car minus its internal decoration and a temporary machine room. It can be installed once the building reaches the 7th floor to service the first two floors for fitout and is moved successively upwards as additional floors are added.
