MAP: Construction firms which have won Olympic contracts

The Olmpic Delivery Authority has revealed the extent of the 'ripple effect' across Britain of companies benefitting from London 2012.

Some 1,500 construction companies have already won orders for London 2012. Contracts worth £5bn have been awarded with another £1bn up for grabs.

So far orders have been placed with companies from Falmouth in Cornwall to Inverness in Scotland. Construction companies operating from every major region in the UK including four from Northern Ireland have reaped rewards from the Olympics.

It is estimated that around 75,000 firms will win 2012-related work over the life-time of the project.
