1) London: housing construction

Value: £70m

Catalyst Housing Group is looking for a contractor to help it fully redevelop the Wornington Green Estate in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The project is for the delivery of the first phase od the development (blocks 1-3), initially with an option to break on blocks 2 and 3.

2) Northampton: highway

Value: £20m

Northamtonshire County Council is inviting tenders for the construction of a new section of highway between Kettering and Wellingborough in Northamptonshire. The work will involve the construction of a two-lane dual carriageway of around 4.3km in length. Work will need to start on site in August 2010.

3) Fraserburgh: college building construction

Value: £19m

Banff & Buchan College is looking to redevelop its main campus building. The project will be undertaken on a phased basis, as the campus will remain operational throughout the construction period. Banff & Buchan College may therefore award the contract on a phase by phase basis. The contract is set to last around 21 months.

4) London: residential development

Value: £14m

The Thames Gateway Development Corporation is seeking a developers to develop two sites in Rainham in the London Borough of Havering. The Rainham Broadway site is at the western edge of the town centre, while the New Road site fronts onto New Road in the west of the town. Whole development total estimated costs are £11.4m, while whole development sales income is estimated to be £14m.

5) Newcastle-under-Lyme: leisure centre

Value: £9.5m

Newcastle-under-Lyme is seeking a contractor to build a new health and wellbeing centre within the town centre. The centre will include a main pool, learner pool with potential moving floor, fitness gym and dance studios. The job is due to start in August 2010, and end in December 2011.
