This year’s Contract Journal Construction Industry Awards attracted more entries than ever before, proving that more companies in construction are keen to prove that they are the best. After a preliminary judging round, 66 of those entries have made it on to the shortlist (shown below), and now stand a chance of winning one of the most prestigious awards in the construction industry.
There are again 14 categories in this year’s CJ Awards, with two new Awards – Major Contractor of the Year and Regional Contractor of the Year. The number of finalists in each category varies, reflecting the overall number of entries in that section and the closeness of judges’ marking among the main contenders.
All shortlisted entries will now be sent to our Awards auditor, Grant Thornton, which will contact referees given in each entry to verify each company’s claims. Once this is complete, the final judging will take place in early autumn to identify the winner of each category.
Well done to all the shortlisted firms – and good luck at the Contract Journal Construction Industry Awards evening on 5 October at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel. If you’d like more details on the Awards, call event organiser Sharon Hart (020 8652 8036), or e-mail sharon.hart@rbi.co.uk.
