Bristol-based New Holland dealer Molson Holdings has called in the administrators. The move does not affect Molson Group which holds franchises for Hyundai, Barford, Ammann rollers, OM crushers and NPK hammers and grabs.
New Holland has moved to assure Molson’s customers that they will continue to receive back-up services.
Molson Holdings is continuing to function while in administration and two compact dealers in its area (Truro Tractors and J G Plant) are still operating normally. Heavy-line dealers Ernest Doe and K. Rouse Civil Engineering, which adjoin Molson’s territory, will also provide parts, service and technical support to affected customers with larger New Holland machines.
Joint administrator Rob Lewis of PricewaterhouseCoopers said he was looking at options to protect the business going forward and for a solution rather than a closedown. However Kevin Purcell, New Holland’s sales & marketing director said: "The existing dealer network and New Holland Construction will work as one to ensure customers are inconvenienced as little as possible while we look to appoint new dealers."
