CV 08: Ford unveils new Transit - VIDEO

Ford showed a low roof version of its medium wheelbase Transit at CV 2008.

Moving to a medium wheelbase, a 14% longer loadbed has been achieved. The model shown on the CV stand was a widow van, with the additional length used to fit in a second row of seats while retaining a useable loadspace.

Also on the stand was a Transit Connect with a hinged bulkhead. Where long loads have to be carried, the passenger’s seat folds down and the mesh bulkhead folds around the driver’s left hand side.
