Bergerac actor and Dame Judi fight eco-town

Actors Dame Judi Dench and Bergerac actor John Nettles have voiced their concerns over the proposed new eco-towns.

The famous actors have spoken out against Government plans to build a total of ten new towns by 2020 voicing their concerns over Britain’s heritage.

Nettles spoke out against the plans for new green towns with the revelation that one is to be built near his country home in Stratford.

The proposed developments are said to be carbon neutral and made entirely from recycled materials, with each containing 20,000 homes.

Although many have welcomed the plans as a way of easing the housing crisis in Britain, many groups have cropped up to campaign against these new towns reports the Telegraph.
